Case Study : Toyota 2.9%

Posted: 1 February 2018

Brief

This client approached us through one of our resellers with the idea of building a massive visual indicator to promote a financing campaign. The task was to produce a custom shaped foil balloon that was helium floatable and in the shape of 2.9%, all within the tight timeframe of just three weeks!

Action

Our design team got together on the laying out the parameters necessary for the balloon to form up and float properly when inflated. The main difficulty with custom shaped foils is the capacity for enough helium and allowing for the components of complex designs to look right when inflated.

After producing three sample designs we found the right mix. Following that, we road-tested this sample, producing a small run and floating them in test conditions. Upon completing the road-test with flying colours we green-lighted the full production run.

Production & Delivery

The factory ran the production order through in line with the client’s high-pressure deadline so it would be able to coordinate with the media bookings.

Delivery was executed through our national freight systems, arriving to the client ahead of time!

Implementation & Result

The campaign went ahead with overwhelming national recognition and success. So much so, that the client soon ordered a second version of the campaign using a 4.9%. And a third order is currently being worked on!
